Emile Heskey Predictions 31 Mar’18 – 01 Apr’18

The European leagues are back in action after the International Break, where we immediately dive into the business end of things this weekend with some massive match-ups.

Bayern – Dortmund showdown and battle for the UCL spot between Chelsea & Tottenham are matches I am relishing.  I expect these teams to be giving their 100% coming back fresh from the break. Here are my analysis and thoughts for key matches this weekend:

Manchester United vs Swansea

Competition : Premier League
Date : Saturday, 31 March 2018
Game week : 32
Kick-off : 10:00pm (GMT +8)
Venue : Old Trafford (Manchester)

Manchester United will look to keep their grasp on second place in the Premier League when they welcome Swansea City to Old Trafford this weekend. Third-placed Liverpool have played a game more than United and face Crystal Palace before kick-off at Old Trafford. But so far Swansea have failed to defeat Man Utd in their last five meetings.

However, they have recently improved under Carlos Carvalhal, losing just twice in the Premier League since his appointment on December 28 and recorded big wins over the Reds and Arsenal. Another win for the Swans and they can start dreaming about top-flight football for another season.

Betting tips: First Half draw at 17/10

Everton vs Manchester City

Competition : Premier League
Date : Sunday, 1 April 2018
Game week : 32
Kick-off : 12:30am (GMT +8)
Venue : Goodison Park (Liverpool)

Another three points for Manchester City on Saturday will leave the Premier League pacesetters just one win away from the title. Everton are the opponents at Goodison Park, one of just four teams to take points off City this season and the first way back in August as Wayne Rooney’s opener was cancelled out by Raheem Sterling.

The last time City visited Merseyside they went home empty-handed as Liverpool won a thriller 4-3, but the Toffees are struggling with injuries and suspensions so anything but a loss would be a surprise. Manchester City can afford to lose, but Everton would need a win to challenge for a spot in Europe. Since October 2016, Man City were not able to beat Everton, two 1-1 draws and a whopping 4-0 defeat in January this year.

Betting tips: Everton to win at 9/1

Chelsea vs Tottenham

Competition : Premier League
Date : Sunday, 1 April 2018
Game week : 32
Kick-off : 11:00pm (GMT +8)
Venue : Stamford Bridge (London)

Chelsea will know anything less than a win over Tottenham on Sunday will leave qualification for next season’s Champions League a very tall order. Currently sitting five points off fourth-placed Spurs, the Premier League champions must beat a top-four rival for the first time since November to close the sizeable gap. Spurs have not won at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League era with Gary Lineker the last player to score a winner in the league for the visitors, a run stretching back to February 10, 1990. Tottenham will be without star player Harry Kane, who is injured, and the Blues will bid to capitalize. It should prove to be a fiercely contested game between two strong and technically gifted sides.

This London derby has at least featured two goals in the last five between the two Chelsea have the upper hand based on history – having won 3, drawing one and losing one.

Betting tips: Tottenham to win at 9/4

Las Palmas vs Real Madrid

Competition : La Liga
Date : Sunday, 1 April 2018
Game week : 30
Kick-off : 12:30am (GMT +8)
Venue : Estadio de Gran Canaria (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)

Estadio de Gran Canaria will host Saturday’s football match between Las Palmas and Real Madrid. Los Amarillos are fighting hard to secure yet another La Liga survival, whilst los Blancos have little to play for in the season finale. Zinedine Zidane’s troops have already lost the race for the title, but, no doubt, their pride will be at stake in upcoming games.

Cristiano Ronaldo has found his best form of late and all eyes will be on the Portuguese attacker when Las Palmas and Real Madrid face each other at Estadio de Gran Canaria this weekend. Los Amarillos are six points behind the “safe zone” ahead of the visit of the reigning champions and, no doubt, they want this win more than the visitors.

The relegation strugglers are likely to fight tooth and nail against Real Madrid, therefore, we predict they are going to grab something from Saturday’s clash. On-form CR7 should be loud and proud after the ‘dance-off’ against fellow in-form forward Salah. This should spur him to find the net in this game. Real Madrid have never lost to Las Palmas in their last five meetings.

Betting tips: Winning Margin 3 (Real Madrid) at 4/1

Sevilla vs Barcelona

Competition : La Liga
Date : Sunday, 1 April 2018
Game week : 30
Kick-off : 2:45am (GMT +8)
Venue : Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán (Sevilla)

Barcelona are confidently sauntering their way to the La Liga title this season and resume after the intentional break looking to extend a three-match winning streak. They hold eleven points lead over second placed Atletico Madrid now heading down the final stretch. Barcelona have won their last three league games and are still unbeaten in La Liga this term. Each of their last three wins have been with a clean sheet in the league Sevilla have lost their way a little bit and have a fight on their hands for a top-five finish.

Betting tips: Barcelona to win at 4/6

Bayern München vs Borussia Dortmund

Competition : Bundesliga
Date : Sunday, 1 April 2018
Game week : 28
Kick-off : 12:30am (GMT +8)
Venue : Allianz Arena (München)

Bayern’s winning streak was unceremoniously halted in the last week of matches – so they’ll be gunning to resume business as usual. This clash of the German titans has seen Bayern grab more wins historically – 3 in the last five. Jupp Heynckes will most likely rest up his key players for this game as they are now more focus in UEFA Champion League. Whereas Dortmund will have to fight their way to win the three points in order to secure their UCL spot for the next season.

Betting tips: Draw at 7/2
